Advertising Training Script

Hello and welcome to Advertising Training, I will be your trainer for today!

Today, we will be talking about Advertising, the HDA Portal and our discord server. 

We will be having a short quiz at the end of this session, so make sure you pay attention!

We use a portal to manage our data in this agency. 

You will need to create a portal account to be able to join the Advertising division.

Please visit hda.habbo-portal|com and let me know once you are there.

Wait for the member to respond

Click “Register” and fill out the boxes with the info that is needed.

After registering, you will see your current motto and a new motto.

Change your motto to the new motto. (e.g. HDA-Hw4yb)

When done, click verify and your account will be pending activation.

Once you’re done let me know so that I can get you verified.

You are able to change your motto back to your rank once the verification process is completed.

Go to Discord > Text Channels > Requests and @Portal Admin to ask them to verify your trainee. Then, continue with training whilst you wait!

Whilst we wait for you to be verified, I’ll introduce you to the role of an advertiser.

As an advertiser, your job is to bring new recruits to HDA.

You should be respectful at all times when advertising.

You are allowed to advertise in public rooms such as Club NX or Coffee House.

The best ways to advertise are through whispers or direct messages on Habbo. 

Once you’ve found someone willing to join, 

Bring them back to base and assist them like you would assist a recruit.

After sending your recruit to training you must log it on the portal immediately. 

You'll require a screenshot of you scouting outside of base and assisting your recruit in base.

You may log screenshots of failed/rejected scouting attempts as well.

If for some reason you're not able to get a screenshot please ask for a 4iC+ vouch in base.

Your scouting is only considered successful if they pass their Recruit Training.

As an advertiser, you can claim promotions for scouting. For every recruit, you earn 2 promotions.

After logging in your recruit you may visit the help desk to claim your promotion.

Alternatively, you can FTF for 20 minutes to earn a promotion.

Advertisers also have the option to request the daily pay badge from successful recruits.

Let’s talk about what you must never do while scouting.

1. Don’t advertise at any militaries/agencies. This is known as poaching which is forbidden.

2. Don’t claim someone else’s recruits and log them as your own.

3. Don’t log recruits you let through FTF, that you didn’t bring to HDA.

​4. Don’t create alternative accounts and log them as your scouts.

Doing any of the things mentioned can result in serious disciplinary actions.

If you witness someone breaking these rules please let an iC member know.

Now that you’re verified you will be asked for your “promo tag”.

A promo tag is an identity to help you when you’re a higher rank.

Please choose a promotion tag for yourself. It must be related to your Habbo username.

The tag can contain only 2-4 characters. Once you’ve decided, please let me know what you’ve chosen.

If you'd like a promotion tag with one character, you can purchase it from a Rank Seller for 10c!

Great! Now, let me explain how to log a scout.

On the portal, you should see a tab on the left saying “Recruitments”.

If you are on mobile click the 3 lines at the top left corner then scroll down to find it.

Next, click the “Add Log” button and you will see “Recruit” and “Comments”.

In the comments, paste a link to the screenshots of you helping the recruit with badge & motto.

To get links for your screenshots you may use snipboard.io or postimage|com.

Lastly, click the “Add Log” button and your log will appear along with the other recruit logs.

Let's move on to the quiz! You must answer 4 questions correctly in order to pass. Good luck!

1. Where will you log your recruits?
(Correct answer: on Portal under “Recruitments”)

2. Where are you allowed to advertise and where are you not allowed to advertise?
(Correct answer: public rooms, not allowed: armies/agencies)

3. Are you allowed to log new members that you meet at FTF as your own recruits?
(Correct answer: No! (If they are confused please explain to them that they can not claim recruits who come to HDA on their own.)

4. What proof goes in the comments section of your Recruit Log?
(Correct answer: Two screenshots, one scouting your recruit outside of base, and one helping them in HDA.)

5. What must you do as an Advertiser to earn a promotion?
(Correct answer: FTF for 20 minutes or recruit someone)

If the trainee gets 4 or more correct you may continue. If they get 3 or less correct please go over what they missed and retest them.
