Going through the ranks, how do you feel about where you are now?
Honestly my rank never really mattered to me ever since. I just love how I could help other people most especially the JEs because that’s where I started and I know how it feels like to be clueless. Plus, most of them are so adorable, hard working and curious! However, I can do say that I’ve come so far from the sealena. everyone met last November. I learned a lot of things by becoming a Head Director and the things I learned here, I also try to apply in my real life and vice versa. Despite the rank, I hope everyone treats me the same as I’m just a worker of HDA like everyone else. What makes you come online to work in HDA? The main reason why I come online to work in HDA is because of my friends whom I like to see in base. They’re all just very lively and funny to hang around with even virtually. Seeing fresh faces is also an interesting thing to me since I get to meet new people. Apart from that, it’s also the responsibility to make sure everything is running smoothly particularly the divisions like Security, Training and Financial Affairs that are needed to be checked everyday. I try my best to look into each divisions to suggest something to make it better especially when I notice problems or complications arising. Tell us a small story about something important to you that happened in HDA? Probably the most memorable experience for me in HDA is meeting all of the good people that has become my friends and sharing good memories with them throughout the 5 months I’ve been here. Especially that one time I was an OP and I surprisingly became the WOTW during my first week in HDA. It was such a meaningful memory to me because I think that was the start of the growth of my career here. Tell me about a time where you faced conflict while working as a part of the team? Personally, I don’t like drama so I try my best to stay out of it as possible. Though there was this one time a conflict happened that kind of discouraged me to keep working at HDA. I became too sensitive and my emotions got the better of me so I didn’t think of the consequences of my actions. Good thing that was sorted out peacefully and my friends persuaded me to stay. Up ‘til this day, they are the ones that keeps me going and inspires me to work better. What are your strengths and weaknesses? My weakness would probably be food and sleeping. Just kidding! (or am I?) My real weakness (I think) is that sometimes I could get really emotional most especially when I feel wronged or when someone is being treated unfairly. As much as I want to be objective about things, I tend to just really go all out when it involves my feelings or those whom I really care for. For my strength… I guess me being a perfectionist? I see it as my flawsome (flaw + awesome) because let’s admit it. There are pros and cons to it. But in HDA, being a perfectionist just makes me work so much better. I also believe that my friends are one of my strengths because when I see them working hard, it just inspires me to work harder too. Where do you see yourself in the year of 2019 at HDA? In the year of 2019, I just want myself to grow more as an individual and use HDA as a stepping stone to it. As much as people think this is just a game, it became a lifestyle to me. You meet different people everyday and you get to experience socializing with them, which gives you the benefit of understanding diversity and being more open to a lot of possibilities. I also hope to meet a lot more good friends and just surround myself an optimistic environment throughout the year. If you had to give a shout to one member that you have known since your journey here at HDA who would it be and why? There are a lot of people whom I should be thankful for so it’s hard to choose... But, I’d say _H1LM4N_ also known as, helmen, forehil, hilly, hilam, himlam or just plainly Hilman. He’s been with me since I was starting off and he truly is my partner in crime. I can rely on him a lot. I’m so honored that I get to be his friend because he’s everything one could ask for. You’re the best! What is one of the most useful things that you have learned from HDA? Owning up your responsibilities. May it be big or small. Good or bad. Your responsibility is yours so you have to make sure you do your best to fulfil them because your actions can/might affect other people too.
